Bio

Dr. Patricia A. Holden is a professor of environmental microbiology in the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, and also director of the UCSB Natural Reserve System. She has a background in civil/environmental engineering, and is a researcher with the UC Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology, where her group studies bacteria as agents of environmental restoration and degradation.
