Bio:
Dr. David Lopez-Carr is a professor of Geography at UCSB where he directs the Human-Environment Dynamics Lab. He received a PhD in Geography from the University of North Carolina, where he also held a NIH post-doctoral fellowship in Biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Carolina Population Center. He has lived, worked, and traveled extensively in Latin America and in over 70 countries worldwide and can Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and rudimentary Q’eqchí Maya.
